started today getting the basic buildings started (First time making FSX Scenery items and using 3DS Max for them...), AFCAD i'll finalise tonight... but without further delay heres a few WIP Hangar shots, if anyone know the hangar types or more importantly has pics of the interior of the larger one at EGVA they'd be valuable as i'm planning to make inside the big hangar too...

anyways heres the Hangars i have 60% done, ignore the colours, they're being mapped as we speak...

i hope to keep this thread updated as work progresses... :wavey: steep learning curve this for a first timer :icon_lol:

KD thats fantastic! just what i was looking for, also gives me an idea of the lighting inside the hangar fantastic, well hangar will be open 1 end partial on the other for definate now :D it'll eat polys but as the single biggest load to the sim in 1 scenery.... should be tolerable right? :icon_lol:

I have pics somewhere that I probably can't find, but I was inside them last year. They're very clean and modernized with glossy white floors.

boy is that RIAT scenery dated :icon_lol: the B-2 hangars and the 'peanut' have been built since then :icon_lol: but still looks good...

todays update....... well i got the ground poly sorted if that counts? original FSX AFCAD still there but shows how much its not in line....

Peter. You need to visit the Airfield Construction Group's site www.airfieldconstructiongroup.org

They have an absolutely superb freeware Coningsby, are currently working on Duxford and have many more airfields in progress.
