• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Boy, this thread brings back memories. I worked on the Scorpion from '57 to '59 in Goose Bay. Wow, that's a half century ago.
 
Wouldn't have happened to know anybody by the name of Levesque up there in Goose Bay would you? My grandfather was a C-124 pilot up there around that time. (I think it was C-124's...)

I was a young 20 year old mechanic then and wouldn't have known any pilots, but did work on the C-124s that flew in and out of there. I rememer the long climb from the lower cargo deck up to the flight deck. Also the ability to walk within the wings to the engines.
 
One of my favourites, nice set of shots.
Just wish AS would fix the throttle in FSX Accell - it keeps jumping to 100% - makes landings a little tricky ;)
 
You are good Panther, you ask for an F-94 and one appears almost out of nowhere, found this today on Flitsim......FS2002/FS2004 Lockheed F-94C Starfire. The F-94 was the United States Air Force's first operational jet-powered all-weather interceptor aircraft. It was a development of the two seater T-33 Shooting Star trainer aircraft. The F-94C Starfire was significantly modified from the early F-94 variants; in fact, it was initially designated F-97, but it was decided to treat it as just a new version of F-94. Initially, USAF interest was lukewarm, so Lockheed funded development themselves. By Kazunori Ito.
