Weenie Wagon WOW!

Thanks for the vid link Sokotai. Brings back memories of the CV-580 and L-188. The O/H and firelights, that is. With the T-56, it was zone 3 fire (jetpipe) warnings while taxing on 35`C days. Was almost in a fist fight with one airport firefighter who was gungho to dump his truck down the inlet of my -580 after a precautionary rejected take off for a fire light, and the bit of oilsmoke you get ftom the tailpipe. Nice vid. brought back memories of all that great Iron comming and going around Namaio and Fairchildback when I was a wee sprog. Thanks

Hey all. Been talking to Frank at Cal Classics, and he has kindly granted permission to post a download link to his killer repaints for Tims C-133B. 5 skins- 1 civil and 4 MATS. Thanks, Frank.

Link fixed.sorry guys.

The model runs really nice- 19-22FPS with lots of stuff running at low altitude in built-up areas, on my POS 'pooter. Cheers!

When I use these textures the sim CTD's. I can see them in preview mode but when I select it to fly I get the dreaded fatal error box.

No I never got a response. Thanks for the revised panel, I'll have to add it into my airplane. I tried both links you provided and got nothing. Please advise. Thanks!

Ahh, product support. OK. I tried the links 30 seconds ago, Railrunner, came up straight away. Yep. the one in the box above. Boom. Der it wuz, bye!
LateralG. In the thread at Cal Classics, some chaps were getting the CTD. Dunno, dude. Have a read through there, see if anything stands out. Also try starting with another model, then select the -133. Some times, when loading a newly introduced model from sim start up, , I get a CTD and error message. I swear the sim will choke sometimes loading new stuff. check your config. file for syntax, andmake sure you've the FS9 FDE in.Your model enterys should be thus.

description=The Douglas C-133B Cargomaster Long Range Strategic Airlifter made its first flight on April 23, 1956. It was formed along the same lines as the well-known C-130 Hercules, but was a much larger aircraft. It was able to transport nearly every contemporary vehicle in service at the time with the United States Army due to its enormous size and large loading doors. The last three aircraft built had special clamshell doors which extended the cargo area by 3 feet, allowing a completely assembled Titan missile to be transported. The fleet of 50 aircraft provided excellent service up until 1971, when they were withdrawn due to fatigue problems. A number of aircraft were later released to the civilian market.

Also look at your sound file, If its alised to another file that isnt there, boom.
I'll cross my fingers.
And lets get the experts to weigh in on this.HENNNNRY!!!!!!!

A C-123K would be quite nice. I'd love to fly the Jail Bird from Con Air.

Heather Sherman did this repaint for Vladimir Zhyhulskiy's C-123, filename: c123.zip , available in the Avsim library. It's FS9, haven't tried it in FSX. Repaint file c123jb.zip, also at Avsim.

A Tim Conrad version of this aircraft would be highly appreciated, also. Maybe Heather would do this paint again, now that she has returned. :engel016:

I got the textures to load w/o CTD. I had to reboot the sim.

However, when you open the cargo doors the interior is transparent (you can see the outside)

To be fair the read me for those skins said they weren't fully tested in FSX. They might work OK in SP1 but I run SP2/accel. And therein lies the problem.

Also, after completing a flight with the new texture I did get a CTD....so I am going to uninstall them. Which is a shame sine they are very nice and improved over the original.

As far as the sound goes I have a dedicated C-133 sound file and do not alias to another aircraft.
