Where Some Old Airplane Engines Go!

While having a Pratt and Whitney R-985 on a motorcycle my be impressive, it pales in comparison to the Pratt and Whitney R-2800 on my nose hair trimmer.
 
That's not an old engine, it is in fact a brand new "Rotec" engine, made in Australia. The factory is located in Melbourne.

....Some years ago when I subscribed to various motorcycle magazines there was one article about an Australian chap who installed a RR Merlin engine into his custom bike. Actually,....he sliced a section out of the engine block so two cylinders would be used. It was quite wild looking. No mention on how well it handled or preformed. I wish I still had the article,...I'd post the pictures of the "Merlin Chopper."
