This is why they say "don't burn your bridges"....a few personal cases in point...

- The CMSgt I work with now was one of first bosses 20yrs ago....
- My last Command CMSgt was my old MTI....
- One of our squadron commanders was an EWO in my previous unit
- Another of our squadron's superintendent was a guy I was deployed with in 1992..
- Yet another squadron superintendent was a guy I knew in my previous squadron...
- A pilot I knew in my previous squadron is now commander of one of our school houses..

And the list goes on....

My job was locked in, meaning I couldn't go anywhere but here because they decided to keep experience in house. I joined to fly around in the air mobility world, and here I am stuck for nine years on one bomber in one place. At least I'm part of a very small group of people that REALLY know about this jet.

Even after nine years at one base I still run across people I know everywhere around the USAF.

In about two months I go on terminal leave. There's something about being part of one of the AF's hardest jobs but with locked doors and oppurtunities that makes me want to go fly on the outside....so I am.
 
Pretty lady.........but hand-holding a lens that large = BS !!! Give me a break !!! Even a monopod would be borderline...
 
I got a wife and she's too young for me, but I'll take the camera and lens! :icon_lol:

Agreed LD, posed shots, can't really be using a lens that big for a hand-held shot.

panther, I don't know what the USAF is doing these days but, in my day females didn't look like those two.
 
i was just at the California capitol airshow at mather airport ,i saw a young good looking female airman with a camera just like this one being used..it was also handheld and she was moving very slowly..but still gettin pics,thunderbird show...
 
They appear to be the same shooter P.

Or does the Thunderbirds issue the same watch and diamond rings to all their recruits?

I know it's difficult for you 2 to swallow but...

They're not posed pictures....(and Toast, 2 different photographers did take them)...

Althought T-Birds now have a different official photographer.....
 
Another example of our tax dollars at work. With that lense I imagine she can get a shot of a pimple on the pilots neck at 20,000 feet.

In truth Panther, I keep forgetting how much lighter today's digital cameras and lens are. I figured that was close to a 1000-mm telephoto lens and old heavy 1000-mm lens were a load. I know, I toted enough of them around large speedways for 7 years! Had to use a monopod too, no way I could hold and steady that large a lens in those days.

Don't get me wrong Caz it's still a good lift...the lens is 10lbs & some change & the body is 2lbs & some change....

But she did it all by herself....:mixedsmi:
