Sibwings Bird Dog

Lovely shots and plane.
Those star and bars ruin an otherwise very accurately textured aircraft. They are way misportioned, the bars are too broad. Colouring of same is also too bright. Please fix that.
Looking forward to it.

Thanks

Actually, the whole composition is off. They made a very common mistake in just sticking the bars on the side of the roundel part without realizing that there's a border around the top and bottom of the roundel which then forms the bars. It's easy to overlook it because it's the same blue as the roundel. (In the original mid-WW2 version of the insignia, the border was red.)

See? The border doesn't go away, it just changes to the same blue as the circle.

Oh man I can't wait :applause:

I feel like that little kid and his bb gun in "The Christmas Story" :kilroy:

But much, much ...much older :173go1:"you'll shot your eye out"

Don't get too worked up chaps, this project is still very much in Beta and alterations have been made. Thanks for the feedback though, it's all good.

Let's see if I do understand that correctly. You're opening a new thread showing off all kind of neat screenshots getting everybody hyped up. And then you bring us crashing down to earth by telling us we should not get too worked up because it's still early? Isn't that a bit sadistic? :kilroy:

LOL - Hope that they do take their time anyway - not like a few of the products released just lately

Incredible looking VC, but too slow for my liking... unless I misread that AS indicator??? It is in kph right?

The ASI is calibrated in miles per hour - MPH. The birddog is no speed demon, but it's definitely faster than a few others. About on par with a 172 as far as I can tell from testing.

We'd be around 30% down on threads if we removed all those that showed products in Beta.

Btw. I came about that percentage by counting my broken toe nails, multiplying them by the total number of unwashed pots in my sink and then dividing by my remaining active brain cells.

Judging by the screenies, this probably has the best looking VC I've ever seen. Definitely a must buy for me:medals:

While the inside looks stunning, I'm less convinced by the exterior.
I don't look the look of those engine covers, it looks like one smooth surface, with the hatches painted on, rather than being actual covers you can open to access the engine...
Maybe with a bit of negative bumpmapping, or slightly more contrasting texture lines...? Something to break the smooth side. What causes those shadows that we see otherwise?
But by all means, bring it on...and excellent shots, as usual!
