The truth about the flu shots is sinister beyond belief....ever wonder why they are given in the Fall....right before the Thanksgiving holidays?? They don't prevent the Flu...they make everyone want to shop uncontrollably for the next several weeks after they are given!! :icon_lol:

Seriously, as we are all getting older; do whatever you feel safe in doing to protect yourself.
 
I haven't had the flu since I almost died from the Hong Kong flu as a kid. I rarely take the shot.

My wife got nerve damage from flu shots. While she was hospitalized, we met a nurse who was temporarily paralyzed by a flu shot. I've never gotten a flu shot and very rarely get sick (flu or other). My wife's problem with flu shots happened twice, consecutive years. The second time was permanent. The nerve damage wiped out the ability for the capillaries to constrict when she stands, so the blood flows downhill. She can't sweat, regardless of the heat.

Selfish...sheesh! For some, the shot can be much worse than the flu especially considering the odds that you might catch the flu. If you get the shot you can't unring that bell. Think, then post.
 
Had several bad cases of the flu some 15 years ago or so, been getting the flu shot regularly since and haven't had a single case of the flu since. Never had any side effects from any shot. Had to learn the hard way but now a big believer in an ounce of prevention. Got my regular flu shot this year and am getting the swine flu shot as well.
 
These days I live with my elderly mum to lend a hand around the place, she's 82 this year and I don't want to pass any nasty bugs onto her if I can help it. I don't get bad reactions from the shot.

No, I never get flu shots.

Had posted about 24 hours ago about why. IMO, it was a strong & gentle post of my opinion.
Why it was deleted? Have not a clue, except somebody(s?) did not like my answer.
Other respectable people here have posted similarly to my deleted post yet theirs remain.

My apology for affecting someone's sensibilities.
