New gunsight for Skysim Mirage III/5

SOH-CM-2024
As good as the Head-Up Display (HUD) is in the Skysim FSX Mirage III/5 package it is better applied to a more modern fighter, not one developed in the 1960s. So I have made a new gunsight to replace it. It is based on the C.S.F. 97K optical sight as detailed in the Mirage IIIE Flight Manual.

This version of the gunsight features three modes of operation.
1) Off
2) Navigation mode
3) Combat mode

Thanks to Herbert Pralle for the XML code check/enhancement and Jens-Ole Kjølberg for beta testing.

It's available now from my website, http://www.mirage4fs.com

Excellent Frank!

Much more realistic right now!

What about the radar? It would be incredible to have it with real altitude coverage ( not scaning from 0 to 60000 ft) and having the clues that radar and lights gives to make a good interception. And being able to lock a target too!

Anyway a excellent update

Thank you again

Diego

- Engine running?
- "\Mirage_Viseur" folder under "\Gauges" folder?
- Changes made to panel.cfg file in Mirage III "\panel" folder?
- Right switch turned to power up?
- Left switch turned for aiming dots?

Hey Frank, How are you and so sorry for the trouble

I re did the install procedure just to make sure? :kilroy:

I just drop the gauge zip file in the FX gauge file. right

man I feel like a goof :isadizzy:

Wrong. In your main FSX\Gauges folder, create a new folder with the same name as the ZIP file (it's a ZIP, not a CAB, so it won't work like that). Then extract the contents of the ZIP file into it.
You can also create the folder in the Mirage's panel folder, if you prefer.

Yea. Step 1 and 2 of the install. :icon_lol: But no worries. Glad it's working for you now.

Maybe I'll make it a cab file before I upload it anywhere? Not a bad idea.
Can't go wrong with that and it won't matter where you put it.
