Hickam Hangars released

jdhaenens

Luddite in Training
The Hickam AFB replacement hangars have been released. They are up at Simviation now and should be up at Flightsim later this morning.

The glass is DXT5 so if you put something with a transparency of it's own inside the hangars, the grid will appear behind the object unless you view it from a certain angle or the eye point (actual eyepoint, not zoom distance) is far enough away.

Enjoy!

Great news! Thank you for your hard work. These are a masterpiece

Love these hangers . My screen pics don't do them proper justice(not very good at screenies) but you might have seen something like this years ago .

Thanks again ,

Rich

Nels has it up at Flightsim now as well.

These are actually the 1940 version of the hangars. By the end of 1942, most of the windows were painted over, some of the windows along the runway side were replaced with walls, storage sheds were erected in the courtyards between the two hangars, etc. The hangars today still reflect their Art Deco past, but have undergone sometimes drastic improvements since they were built.
