I need a fix!

I think I messed something up ... it has to do with which program is used to open a particular file.

In this case ... it's the AIR FILE ... and I'm REASONABLY CERTAIN that I messed up and clicked "NOTEPAD" (I don't know why I would do that ... I know better ... MAJOR SENIOR MOMENT, I guess) while the "always use this program to open this type of file" (or whatever it actually says) ... and now my AIRED ... which used to AUTOMATICALLY open the airfile ... will not ... and I have to "back door" my access to Aired and it's REALLY A MAJOR P.I.T.A. as opposed to having it just "be there when I need it".

So ... my question is:

What do I have to do in order to restore Aired as the program of choice to opening my Air Files? (short of throwing my computer away or something equally as drastic!)

Thanks ... 'cause I'm a pothole

Try right click, select "open with" then select the program you want to open it with and check the check box that says "always use this program..."

Where can this newbie get AIRED? Thanks.

Bill. this worked for me: I used 'search' to find any file of AirEd in my Documents and C drive and deleated them. I rebooted the computer and checked to be sure the air file in aircraft was back to normal and introduced AirEd back into my Documents. Then I opened AirED, clicked on: Set AirEd for Air files, and now I'm back in business. don
