Chrome Browser

I just downloaded Chrome Browser and it blows away IE8 in speed.
I use to cuss and swear when ever I had to log into the server when something is happening and it would take 1 minute, seemed like an hour, well Chrome takes about 1 second.
I notice things are a little differant but I like what I see.

I've used it for a while and like its simplicity, a no-nonsense browser.
Occasionally there are websites that confuse its fonts, but it does the job.
To be fair, when I dumped IE8 it was so bloated with plugins it had become a tad slow - no such thing with Chrome yet.

I just cannot believe just how fast it is.
I found a secure site it would not show the page, but I will use IE8 for that.

I used IE6 up until after IE8 was out, then switched to Firefox. I've got Chrome installed, but I'm still on the fence with it. It does look good to me though.

Thanks for the heads up Ickie. I just went to Google and checked it out. They have a video of how their new OS works. Its called Chrome as well.

This should be interesting. Google is going into the OS business.

Google Chrome totally blows away IE and Firefox, no comparison. I always use Chromium, the native Linux version on my eee netbook. It absolutely screams compared to the native Linux version of Firefox. :medals:

I use Firefox but I do like Chrome. Chrome is not resource heavy but I like the layout of FF better.

I use Firefox normally because I'm too lazy to transfer my bookmarks, but if I am having trouble loading a page I'll switch over to Chrome and 9 times out of 10 it'll pop right up.

I tried Chrome for a couple days, but Firefox has too many useful tools for me to stop using at this time.

If Chrome ever catches up in that area by allowing users to create apps for it other than fancy themes, and stays away from being propriety like IE, maybe I'll think about switching.

Frankly I would never recommend using IE to anyone, anyway.

Never used anything but IE 6-7-8 and never had a problem at all with speed or crashes...

I am using Opera now and Safari, Not bad if I try to use Chrome, in one of my computers....

I will give it a shot... :engel016:

Converted to Chrome about 6 months ago now after using Firefox for a couple of years. Haven't tried Opera but Chrome is the best I've used so far.:wavey:

I have Opera, Chrome and IE8 on my taskbar, but I use Opera 99% of the time. For me it's by far the greatest browser.

Chrome uses the same WebKit rendering engine as Apple's Safari and many mobile browsers. It is fast in some situations but there are still many sites that render incorrectly and are unusable with Chrome.

IE8 is very good now but also very slow because it has to talk to the operating system all the time to get permission to do anything. Firefox is much faster and more reliable but if you really want speed then Opera is your friend. Opera is faster and more compatible than Chrome or Safari IMO.

Does someone know effective adblocker plugin for Chrome? AdBlock Plus for Firefox works very well and is the biggest reason I'm still using FF.

I am not sure how it works but I have been to known sites that have popups and they do not pop up for me.
