A friend of mine recently completed this in his garage for his grandson's birthday. Sometimes homebuilt toys are the best.:applause:

WOW!!! Nicely done. I want one lol!

me too!

I saw one like that (not the same but a toyplane that big - i don't know if it had pedals though) and they are selling for $300+....

Man - that looks cool.... His grandson will never forget his first aircraft! :applause:

That is just one fantastic piece of work! Looks great! Your friend is very, very talented!

WoW! Beautiful work! Nice to see the youngins getting a proper introduction to aviation.... that is one lucky little guy and some beautiful craftsmanship!! :applause::applause::applause:

That is just fantastic and I love the attention to detail. Being a former engineer I really like the way he linked the prop to the pedals so it turns as the plane moves. The little details in the cockpit made me smile too especially the 'ground loops' comment! :icon_lol::applause:

It's sad that the child will out-grow it in less than 12 months but I bet he will have some great memories of it when he's older.

Bravo to Grandad for doing this and he deserves some of these! :medals:

Of course, that also gives grandpa the opportunity to build a newer, larger one for next year's birthday. ;) Ahh aviation... the gift that keeps on giving. :)

Homemade toys are the best. :applause:

Plus, he'll be an expert on how to taxi a taildragger by the time he's old enough to get his PPL. :icon_lol:

cool!
They had those at the Swedish Air Force Museum too,
in different colors of course.
We only just managed to squeeze Catalina in..
