Peas on Earth C9G.

I work both with God's Storehouse and God's Pit Crew here locally. The former helps those in need locally, the latter goes to any disaster area and metes out needs. I went with them after Katrina, terrible, my heart wept.

Donate people, some folks out there are really having a bad time of it and it isn't because they are drunks or drug addicts. Always remember the Phil Ochs' song, "There But For Fortune Go You And I".

I thought it was very well done and cleaver...:applause::applause:

You must overlook Bjoern, he only likes things with wings

That was good Clound9Gal.. loved it, lol..

Elvis tunes as well!

Oddly, I was thinking of 'world peas' this afternoon..

Bill

I eat my peas with honey,

I've done it all my life.....

It makes my peas taste funny,

but it keep's em on my knife.

I am a Pea's freak... I like them with Ceaser dressing or Ranch dressing, cold.

I also like them in salads.

When I was young, I would make this dish of them for our special dinners, like Thanksgiving, etc. It basically had some butter, and then some mayonaise, a healthy sprinkling (lots) of Parmesan cheese, lots of pepper, some Italian spices. Man... I think back now how unhealthy that must have been for us, lol... Tasted great though.

I can't do canned peas, no way no how. Fresh is best, or I don't mind the quick frozen kind. Love 'em on or in salads too. Usually got to have the peas and carrots though.

Peas -yes - frozen kind - no canned for me too

with corn - frozen kind - no canned for me or Hannah :bump:

Well, my wife loves sweet peas, but like chacha, she wants them fresh from the Farmer's Market. Me, I'm a bean man, peas don't make your farts smell special!:bump:

Many moons ago when I lived on the farm I grew Peas...

Once you have them off the vine you will forget about canned or frozen.

I agree, peas fresh off the vine are the best! Peal them pods open and start scoopin!

Mmmm

Anyway, back to the thead, ... I always make sure I drop a can or three off at the collection point.

:applause:

Not just peas either ... some of them folks are happy to get spam too! :jump:

Yeah, it delivered the message quite well.

Like Jordan put it in a late fifth season episode of Scrubs: "I'm dead inside." ;)

Oh Bjoern! You are way too young to be dead inside. I don't believe that for a minute! You have so much to be passionate about :)
Let your light shine through....

All this talk about world peas.. I had to break out a frozen bag of them in the back of the freezer..

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Heated in the magnetron electromagnetic microwave reactor, bathed in a bit of spray on butter..
