"Painted" reflections on the front panels of aircraft have always bugged me anyway, because that's the one thing which an aircraft windscreen (windshield to the Americans
) is designed to reduce or remove - simply so you can see at night.
Having sat in, been flown in and flown several hundred aircraft, I have only ever seen reflections in glass when overhead lighting has been used at night. Specifically because this causes reflections in the windows so you can't see outside, overhead lighting in cockpits/flight decks is used as little as possible - often never as map and small spotlights are used to see what gauge backlighting cannot illuminate. Unfortunately, FS forces us to use overhead lighting almost constantly, particularly in GA aircraft, which really isn't realistic at all.
That's not a comment for or against this model, it's just an observation from many years of flightsimming and cursing incorrectly highly visible reflections on glass interiors.
Edited to add: My personal reaction to this release is that I haven't seen the fully finished package, but RAFs Tempsford and Winkleigh are FTPing onto my site as I type.
