I wasted 3 hours on 3 downloads of the F-94 over at Simnetwork, the .zip file must be corrupted, I cannot open it. Anyone have an alternate source for this AC?

Thanks

Tony

There is Kazunori Ito's F-94C @ Flightsim and Simviation.which needs to be converted. I would like to get an F-94B for my Korea install.

Thanks, I'll look over there. I gave it one more try and the file I downloaded is 1.7 meg, it's listed at 1.8. Must have been incomplete. If you hear of an F-89 for CFS2 put me onto it, bro.

Tony,

You're delving into the esoteric!

Alphasim makes an F-89, but it's payware and for FS 9 and FS X. I've never heard of anyone getting it converted.

Ito's FS 9 planes port over OK, but he is very touchy about their conversion to CFS 2 and states as much in his readme files. That said, they are very well modelled aircraft.

I guess I can't really comment on Ito's motives, I don't know him. The F-94 won't fly in CFS2, I don;t how to do these conversions. Iv'e become friends with panel, AC, mission/campaign, texture, sound builders, all you guys have been helpful, open, and bent over backwards to help me.

The F-89 and -94 form, along with the F-84s, F-104, F-102-106, the backbone of the Cold War interceptor force for the USAF and ANG units in the 1950s. We had an F-89 merge on radar with a UFO over Idaho and the boys over at WPAFB are still, er, ah, well, hm, uhhhh....it was swamp gas from Venus, ahhhh, er, oh, hm...

I think as a sim, CFS3 is dead. It don't appear to have anything CFS2 don't, so CFS2 it is. Having lived my whole life near a metropolitan area that makes 50 percent of it's GNP from aviation, We're sort of steeped in aviation here. I'd like to see or have some of the 1950s jets for CFS2. Know where I can snag a B-58 for CFS2?

Esoteric? He he. Let's see: P-51 in Red Chinese markings(both natural metal and green), North Vietnamese markings for the Bearcat, the He-111 Zwilling, the A6M3 Hamp with the 30 mm wing guns...thou hast pushed my esoteric button...

Good flying my friend

It ain't all that Ito's is, but after a few minor mods to the flight dynamics, anything made for FS98 or FS2000 will fly just fine in CFS2:

FS98 USAF Lockheed F-94C Starfire. Updated for FS98 with animated landing gear and flaps. This plane was built from the P-80 (F-80) design. It was used as an interceptor incorporating early airborne radars. Its armament included 3.5 inch aerial rockets rather than guns because in the early cold war years Soviet bombers were considered the main strategic threat. Rockets were considered more effective than guns against bombers. FS5 AFX by Paul Kimberling. Includes single jet fighter panel with GPS, digital engine management, and position homing gear (bitmap by Chuck Dome). Gauges by Chuck Dome, Glenn Copeland, Brian Kostick, Jay Crawford, Paul Schwerdtfeger, Dai Griffths, Alex Yanes, Christian Koegler and John Hirsch. Checklist by Jerry Maniscalco. History file by Joe Baugher. Flight music included. FS98 adaption, panel and package assembly by Derek 'Deke' Wakefield of Indianola Flightcraft.

Thanks, I am registered over there, I'll grab the file, but I do not know how to modify them for CFS2
