I have the FSX and want to download a Vietnam era Huey and a Skyhawk, are those available, and if they are do I have to purchase an expansion pact to make the work in FSX? This question probably was answered somewhere else but I could not find the answer. :redf:

Hi mapal, as far as free downloads go, check out the library here, or AVSIM http://www.avsim.com/ or Flightsim.com http://www.flightsim.com/home.htm there are other sites, but if you can't find it at one of these, it probably doesn't exist.

keep in mind that aircraft designed for FS2004 (FS9) will usually work in FSX, but will have a few issues. That being said, the only native FSX huey I know of is payware by Milviz/Nemeth at simmarket http://secure.simmarket.com/default-en.html

As for skyhawks, Razbam did some great payware ones for FS9, but I don't see any for FSX, you could try searching the free sites though.

the only expansion pack for FSX is acceleration, which is actually more than an expansion as it updates core components of the sim and is regarded my many as just the final version of FSX. Hope that helps

Thank you very much for the information MCDesigns, that helps allot. Another question, I down loaded the F86 file, how do I load it into FSX. Do I just unzip the file and put all the different items in the assoc. folders individually or can I just put the folder in the main directory and it automatically puts them in the folders. It seems like every game has it's own way of downloading. Thanks again for your help.

Thank you so much DX, appreciate the quick response. Know I can get this baby flying. :applause: :wavey:
