• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Question about starting T-34C

Here is the order that I "thought" I knew how to do:
1.) ALL cockpit switches are in the "off" position.

2.) Battery on, then flip on external lights.

3.) Flip on the starter & ignition switches. Auto ignition is still off (see attached pic)

4.) Fuel lever. I have no idea where that is. The only thing I see in regards to fuel is "fuel pump".

5.) My ITT peaks out at 690 (refer to attached pic). I don't hear any "lightoff".

6.) All I see is black smoke pouring from the prop. Grrrr... so frustrating. :banghead:

So could someone please show me via the pic where in the world this "fuel lever" is.

EDIT: I found where the fuel lever is. It's aft of the throttle.
Baby started right up after the first attempt. :)
 
try the red lever by the throttle quadrant. I don't have this aircraft, but if it's accurate to real life you'll get the job done like that.
 
Its always the last place you look!! So I always look there first :jump::jump::costumes:
 
Mine does the same,even with chocks and parking brake set.Sometimes the parking brake will disengage itself for some reason.
I have tried reinstalling the aircraft,recalibrating flight stick and throttle but still the same.
I dare say its something im doing wrong

Yeh ,keep your prop condition lever at around 30% till engine is warmed a little,push to 100% just before releasing the brake and throttling up.
