Sopwith Camel schemes

OW,
I have a couple of references to 65sqn, but none that carry profiles or pictures. The closest I have come across is:
http://www.rafweb.org/SqnMark065.htm
but that shows no serials. I wonder whether the RAF museum at Hendon has RFC serials and squadron allocation on record.
cheers,
Mike

Hello OW,
Windsock Datafile 26 on the Camel has one picture of a 65 Sq plane showing 2 vertical bars, one on each side of the Roundel. The ID letter, in this instance was a letter G. I'll see if I can get a scan and e-mail it to ya.
Cheers Thicko

Thanks Thicko,
I have a similar scheme with B as an ID letter. Hopefully your pic will show the upper wing & serial codes.

I've got a few schemes now but still need serial numbers for them. I may have to 'guesstimate' some bogus numbers.

Check your E-mail .I just sent you what you are looking for. The two vertical bars are from 1918. The one I sent you is from 1917 with one horizontal bar.The serial number is right behind the name Camel in the Pilot profile.Blondi:cost1:

WO
From Shores, Franks and Guest's Above the Trenches. I can supply more serial numbers and more details as to who flew what when but I have left it with the flight leaders.
