Hey guys,
I'm really on the fence of what to do regarding Defense of Australia. The issue is regarding what to do about the P-40. There are three viable choices, the FDG model, the K. Malinowski version, and Leroy10's upcoming model.
The problem is that the first two choices have the same .dp mode for weapons choices, so switching one for the other is a cinch. I've designed the missions to use the FDG P-40 especially with regards to range and fuel load, but the other choices are certainly viable. If I chose the P-40 by Leroy10, I'll have to go back and rework the missions to use Leroy's model.
The other problem is the Port Moresby complex. All of the beta testers have complained (and justly so) about AI crashes on landing at Seven-Mile. To fix this, I've experimenting with flipping the headings of the runway around so that you take off to the northwest and land coming in from the northwest rather than taking off to the southeast and landing coming in from the southeast. This allows you to miss the low ridge that is just off the runway. I'll put my theories to the test tonight and tomorrow.
I'd also like to wait for the Australian Radio chatter to be finished.
I can still release the P-39 campaign in the interim once I get it finished....MAYBE I can get it finished this weekend.
Any opinions here?
