Latest Wilcopub upcoming release

If one can live with a FSX compatible portover: Mario Noriega did a fine rendition of an Avanti I.

The only difference between the I and II is updated avionics and two additional fuel tanks for more range.

Goodness! That thing looks unreal!

Thanks for the heads up Matt. Great find.

Now... How am I going to make room in my already full hanger? I can move the Bucker over there under the wing of the Kodiak, move the Epic LT back 10 feet, hang the Tailwind from the cieling, transfer the Epic Victory to the vacation Hanger, Move the Tilt Rotor to the General Aviation hanger out at Scottsdale Executive....

@Bjoern - It is FSX Native and FS9 Native.

@Lionheart - Where's your hanger at, ill take some of those planes off your hands :mixedsmi: :running:

I can't.... fps loss is considerable with ports.... icky

However I did like his models for FS9!

I've seen one of those fly into KLFT a few times. Those suckers sure are loud. They don't look natural flyin either.

They had a contest to guess and win a while back what their newest project was.
I guessed the Avanti. I wonder who and how many winners there are. :kilroy:

There is something odd about the modeling engine

seems too big
Yes, I agree! Especially the spinner is way too huge:

Just compare it with this picture: airliners.net - Piaggio P180 Avanti

Hopefully they will modify it! Otherwise the plane looks very nice :)

Greetings
Tim

Theres one here at KDVT also. Very loud bird. Sure looks hot when parked out on the tarmac. Sleek like something from Star Wars...

You are very observant people.;)

The shots were taken of an early beta model. The nacelles and spinners have since been reprofiled.
We're just waiting on some of the avionics and she'll be ready to rip.

Oh by the way you'll also be getting one of these in the garage.:engel016:

Great news!
I just finished having a lunch break in front of Piaggio factory at LIMJ (my office is very close to the Avanti's production plant)!

Mario Noriega's freeware rendition of the Avanti is pretty good... but lacks a good VC...

This is looking very good!

Great Looking Airplane

I'm ready for this one. Credit card locked and loaded. Please let me know as soon as I can have at it!

@bazzar: what is the name of the company developing this? Obviously wilco is doing the publishing but that doesn't mean a whole lot.

That'll be us at Aeroplane Heaven. We build for WILCO and others.
Eric Marciano is doing the avionics including the intuitive weather radar.:engel016:

When I worked as a ramp rat I got to refuel them a few times. They had single point refueling which was quite nice, didnt have to get a ladder and climb to the wings. Single point is usually found on the larger biz jets. Much nicer than refueling that @#% Caravan :) nice plane but a pain to refuel especially when you arent very tall like me hehe
