NZ east coast is experiencing the first drawdowns before the tsunami arrives.
Some folks are preferring to go down to the beach to have a look, rather than head inland to higher ground...:isadizzy:
Mind you, a 5-6 foot wave coming over the ocean with hundreds of feet of ocean below it. That's a lot of energy!

True Ken but it's more dangerous at the coastlines because it gets bigger as it slows while the energy behind it keeps pushing it.
