Again, same question

The CFS2 Conversion of the Alphasim Blackburn Firebrand for some reason doesn't work in CFS2.

Any Thoughts :censored:

Dude, you'll need to be more specific than "it doesn't work in CFS2"....what's the problem in detail please?

Try copying the sound folder from another plane such as the Sea Fury into the Firebrand folder.
It worked for me!

Sorry, in a nut shell, the aircraft isn't displayed in the list with the rest of my planes.

In the past this told me that the plane didn't work, and I then got rid of it. So in general it's not one part that doesn't work, it's mostly the model.

I think. :banghead:

Check your sound folder, panel folder. Check to make sure that there is not a folder-within-a folder from the unzip. I downloaded Bearcat's conversion and had no problems with it.

He didn't read the readme.txt....** sigh **

...i explicitly stated in the readme that you have to add sound and i recommended the original sound package included in the FS2004 model...

Always **** first before installing anything...

Combat Flight Sim Crashes for 500 please.

So the plane now displays but the sim crashes.

Works fine in free flight, but crashes in quick combat

Dude

For sound, may I suggest you download and use the Centaraus sound pack I uploaded.....good stuff....I didn't make the files, just tweaked some here and there, mixed in some other files to produce a pack that is pleasing to my hi-fi fanatic ears.

Does it crash going into or out of Quick Combat. If it crashes coming out, you will need to change the allegiance in the DP file to the US allegiance, which is 3. Give that a try as see if it stops the crashes in QC.

It crashes when I go into Quick Combat, but the Firebrand works perfectly fine in any free flight environment.

Still, there no need to be sarcastic.

As with anything else, that would depend on perspective...and no thanks, i have my own.

In another recent thread, a long-time contributing member commented that 99% of most installation problems are the results of ppl not reading and following instructions in readme's or simply not knowing how to use their computers, resulting in numerous annoying emails and forum post about issues that could be easily solved. And this was his primary reason for no longer uploading his most recent work to the general public. This is a point that new users should apply to their benefit.

Trust me, I did read the readme, I just missed the 'no sound' part.

My Bad, OK :icon_lol:
