Len i think it originaly came from a MAW addon? i put all weapons in all installs so pinpointing it sorry.it may have been from one of beau's costal command installs.if you can't find it in MAW or EXPANSION. i'll try to find the parts and send them.unless someone else knows exactly where they came from.

According to the instructions in the Cat download I'm missing some other stuff as well. Soon as I can make a list of what else I can't locate, I'll PM you. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could also explain the following, taken from the instructions:

WEAPONS NOTE; open the P.T.O. weapons folder. right click and open with notepad.<----what exactly do I need to r click and open in notepad?
compare the listed weapons below to what you have in the P.T.O. weapons
folder.most are from the P.T.O. some are from EXPANSION.make sure you have
the latest version of AVHistory Weapons pack.from the AVHISTORY SITE.
you will need "Gatlin Guns" by preeze (dancat) at Sim-outhouse
you will also need the CFS3 CALIBER UPGRADE by SLIP STREAM at Sim-outhouse

I built all of those (with the exception of EMC) for ETO. The effects for them are under O-1 Driver effects in the ETO effects file and the weapons are all in the ETO weapons folder. They can be transferred over to CFS 3 but you will need to move the effects file along with a few effects textures to make them work.

We will be including all of these in PTO in the next update along with the new skip bomb.

EDIT: Emile, almost all of these weapons have new effects textures that were made by Rob and Myself that are currently only in ETO. What I would recommend is that you copy the entire ETO effects textures folder on over to PTO or CFS 3 where you intend to load the aircraft along with the ETO effects file. The effects for these weapons do not currently exist in CFS3 or PTO.

Emile here is a description of these weapons and what they are designed to do. All are built on historically correct models.

The Sodium flares, red and white are impact flares activated by salt water, they will not go off if you drop them on land. When they land on water they burn brightly and create a foaming effect in the water around the flare. These were used by the RAF and US as directional marker flares to guide bombers and fighters over open water, mark dangerous reefs and minefields and on occasion to illuminate naval targets.

The paraflare and aircraft flare are air drop flares that were used for battlefield illumination and night target acquisition over land and water. They explode with a small powder charge that ejects a small parachute with good hang time for the flare.

The Candle-flare_red is a RAF land weapon only and was used by heavy path finder bombers to lay a trail of burning markers to the target. This weapon was loaded on RAF heavy bombers and path finder Mossies. This weapon required over two pages of script and is complex. The candle flare bomb explodes a couple of hundred feet in the air above the ground. When it explodes it ejects dozens of small red candle flares that slowly fall to the ground and burn with a hot flame and long lasting smoke. The markers were used to guide night RAF
bomber streams to their targets.

The PFF smoke bomb sky markers is for use in daylight only.this is a US weapon that was only loaded on heavy bombers like the B-17 and B-24 for high altitude bombing missions. This marker bomb when released has a long thick smoke trail and is a cue for the other bombers in the formation to drop their bombs.

There is one other weapon you may want to bring over from ETO and load on your PTO Cat. This weapon is the buoy_flare. This weapon was designed by the RAF to hunt submarines at night. The buoy flare is also water activated and will not work on land. When it hits the water you will see a small splash and a small buoy is ejected. Twenty seconds after impact with the water the buoy will launch a bright flare from the surface of the water that explodes with a flash bang effect ejecting a parachute flare with good hang time and illumination. This was the flare of choice for hunting subs as the subs did not know a flare had been dropped until it explode. The aircraft had time to circle around and line up for a bomb run before the sub could crash dive.

Hope this information is of some help in getting the weapons to work and for mission building. Be sure and get both the ETO textures and effects file to make these weapons work properly.

vouch you you found a typo.double left click to open the weapon folder copy the contents to your weapons folder. its the torpedo that came with the original upload.
for future reference; place all weapons,pylons,shared and related textures files, in all of your installs. aircraft get moved around between theaters. then you have to back track for all the related files.it's much simpler to install in all of them one time.even the parts that come with major upgrades.

you've made alot of fantastic effects for us. :salute: i thank you for enhancing the imersion. i talked hobbit into takeing over makeing missions for them in the pto.while i do the next item on the list.lol seems the list just gets longer,the more you finish!
 
Yeah, I'm missing the same weapons as Emile and this has now become quite annoying with endless searching and trying to incorporate this from that and not really knowing what I'm doing in manually editing whatever files so I'll just say thanks to all those who tried to help and I'll just wait until the Cats are added properly in the next upgrade. :salute:
 
Yea, i shall have these out to the Testers in a day or so..
The Cat is Fun to fly with the EVA files..
And making these missions has been fun also.
