The benefits of Youtube...

I know what you mean about time. You can get lost in following the great links posted by members here.

That is truly one of youtubes great benefits....

But have you ever noticed, the stooopidest and most offensive comments come from Youtubers?

Why, I think nothing I've ever posted comes close.

You can close the comments window, and save the setting in the "Options" link.
Then you never have to be exposed to that crap again.
I did it a long time ago.

So?

Just read and laugh about those e-diots taking the internet too seriously. ;)
Or ignore them altogether. It's just the same crap over and over again anyways. A video about aircraft, regardless of nation of origin *always* turns into a nationalistic debate. Just like comments to music videos that are nothing but "my taste is better than your taste".

To resist all temptation to join in on those when I'm having a bad day and I need to vent, I never ever got an account at Youtube.
Don't see the point of it anyways. I can watch most of the videos and eventual questions about it ("OMG, whats teh muzikkkk plzzzzz!?!?!?!?") have mostly been asked by others already.

Well you learn the darndest things at SOH....
No matter how good the clip, some knucklehead always manages to taint it somehow.
Now, I can take it at face value, without the noise.
Thank you, you have removed an irritant in my life!

Look for a guy name BomberGuy.....he has a ton of aircraft videos...going WAY back in time to some really old planes. I have that one in my subscriptions list.

I'm watching some of his videos regularly via Planeaday.

One of the real benefits of Youtube, is you get to see people doing extremely stupid stuff before you try it. :wiggle:

Most excellent! I was unaware of that. Some of those comments become quite obscene.
