Will he ever be allowed back? Was his ban temporary or permanent? I understand the deliberate thought and reasoning behind his departure, but his contributions to flight simming were without doubt. His work is incredible. Before you ask if we were friends, he was mean to me too.:mixedsmi: Some recent releases would be great with his repaints on them.

I never had a problem with him and yes, he was/is an incredible talent. Does he ever upload paints anywhere else? I've never come across them.

Well, since he's long gone I don't think it counts as starting anything.

He was just unagreeable. Many are, but it's possible that I never saw a wholly positive post of his. His last month consisted of people trying to dog his repaints and capabilities just because they were sick of him being a grump. He staunchly defended them and insulted just about everyone. He was good, no great at repainting, and he made sure he told people.


edit: I'm sure there was much more behind the scenes though that we don't know about. There always is. Who knows, maybe he talked some trash to a moderator.

He was extremely touchy but English wasn't his first language and he would often misinterpret praise as criticism and then go off and sulk. Probably the best painter I've come across though and fast too!

He said many things to me and others via PM that were VERY against SOH rules. There was no misinterpretation on his part. I don't think any further explanation is necessary.

yup its tough if you do not
we do have a few members here who do not speak English
they mostly watch and read and never post
shame realy but thats life
there are lots of things that go on behind closed doors
that everyone will never know
bottom line i did like his paints
he could always upload them to avsim, flightsim etc
if he wished
i guess he does not wish

Good evening.
I know Lucian and discussed the matter with him sometime back. He's still doing his work which is quite a bit more progressed than the last paints he posted here. At present, he's keeping his work private/amongst a few others. He feels the entire episode that occurred here was a combination of misunderstandings, pointless badgering and stepped on toes. After reading a healthy dose of the evidential squabbles/text(including PM exchanges), I concluded there's no doubt the entire matter could have been handled better. The ban was viewed by many inside and outside of SOH as rather one sided since some who were fanning the flames didn't get the same treatment. That being said, I am confident he would not come back here or upload any of his work here even if allowed. I will add he holds no grudges but the only issue left unattended was that since he was banned permanently, his work posted here should have been taken down per his request which apparently went unheeded or was missed. One day I hope Lucian decides to open his work to the public again somewhere but I hope and pray when/if that happens, a repeat of what transpired before doesn't come to pass again.

It's good to hear that he's still painting. He should start his own website. I'd love to get ahold of them.

Of course the ban is going to be one-sided, there's only one side with the ban button. They don't have to give reasons, either. The mods do attempt to give due process to most people, but in the end they aren't obligated to.


Here's to hoping that he starts releasing his work somewhere again.:ernae: I found out about Sim-Outhouse because I was chasing down a link someone gave me to his WICKED Alphasim B-52 repaint.

Too bad he had a short temper, too bad people tested him and created a spectacle situation of it. Now they are out of one awesome repainter.

May he do well and I am sure he is much happier not having to be badgered over his great work.
