SOH ADMINISTRATIONPerhaps you are using an older FM. My CFS 2 version of the P-40B, if anything acts a bit undepowered and seems realistic enough. I can outdive a Zero, but I sure can't outclimb or out turn him. Bearcat is usually very careful about these details when posting an aeroplane. Push comes to shove, try the attached FMs. Perhaps one of these will help you out.
If this is the conversion by Bearcat there are 3 airfiles and cfg files in it so you can choose the way you want it to fly.My guess is you have the hot FM in it.I had Bearcat tone down the FM's and cfg files so that's why there are 3 of them.The way I have mine setup makes it one of the best and I used it in my AVG and CATF.

Sorry about your HE-111's, but it sounds like you found some relief in the updates. What the original authors -- that would be me for the first conversion release -- had in mind was speed, quicks and firepower to my liking. Hope that solves the riddle. Told you guys before, its just a fantasy playset for me. Heh, those that can, do...![]()

Hi Pips;
I'm NOT an expert by any means, but I muddled through the "early learning" stages of AIR files with freeware like AirEdit... broke a LOT of otherwise decent aircraft before finally getting a clue.
Then I found AirWrench at MudPond.org, and my understanding made a quantum leap. It's intuitive, flexible, and an invaluable part of my aircraft tuning tool kit.

If I'm not mistaken, that page also holds the Holy Grail of airframe dynamics - the Flight Dynamics Workbook.
Long story short, the more we all learn, the easier this hobby gets !
