The 30th Squadron was formed Maech 1942 and saw it's first action September 1942.It was equiped with 24 Beaufighters.Their first mission was to stop a Japanese landing ship and it's barges landing troops and supplies at Buna.

I did this while you were doing DOA just to show people there is more that could be done in New Guinea if someone wanted to do it.There is also info for B-25 ops in New Guinea by the pilot that flew Dirty Dora.

They would be good campaigns for your contest.

Talon,

Yeah...I've got the Beaufighter working in the Mediterranean with your help, and have also toyed with the notion of updating Milne Bay, but you know as well as I that there is a lot of work involved in doing that.

Looking great Talon. Some blue and white roundels would sit well on those Beaus.

Ravenna-Not my job.Besides this thread is to give people ideas on missions.Someone else will have to pickup the ball for a change. Most people in the forum depend to much on the regular mission builders and it's time for some of them to do some things. If they don't CFS2 will die a slow death no matter how many new planes or how much new scenery is done.Everyone wants this or that but when it comes to doing the work alot of members walk away and figure someone else will do it and they can just sit back and fly.Lately I've just been doing missions for my own pleasure except for the missions I did for Rami's DOA rework.I offered to help him because of the respect I have for him and all the work he has down.Even though most are reworks.:jump:

Rami tried a contest to get more mission builders and I saw only 1 saying he is working on anything in his thread. Now what does that tell you?It tells me nobody cares or aren't interested.

Amen Talon.........if CFS2 is to continue to evolve, we need some doers......... I know yer out there, pick a project, and have at it! Come on in, the water's fine!:running:

I agree that more mission builders are needed to make use of all the great planes and beautiful senery that keep coming, if we want to keep cfs2 alive.
I try to make a contribution with the Buffalo campaign I´m about to release. (see the thread I started today)

Stefano "kelticheart" Denti made one mission and Sterling "Dakota93" did two missions for the Beaufighters of RAAF 30 Squadron.

Hope your feeling a lot better, Talon. I am putting the idea of making a campaign on hold for awhile. One of the great guys here has offered to teach me how to create airfields from "scratch". There's no way I could turn an opportunity like that down! :salute::ernae:

Missions in progress

I´m working in two campaigns. I will probably split them in several chapters so it takes less time to finish:
1- Pierre Colsterman based in his stories I´ve read in The Great Show.
2- A british pilot flying in the ETO. I´m trying to start from early basic flying school to doing Rhubarbs, Circuses, Rangers and finishing flying with Thypoons rocket operations.

But it´s a long way to go. As soon as I have something worth I´ll post it.

Cheers, Discus
