An aircraft of the Patrouille de France crashed Tuesday morning in a field near the civilian airport of Plan-de-Dieu, in the Vaucluse. Its pilot, who ejected, was "slightly injured". The aircraft apparently encountered a technical problem.

"The accident occurred at 10:15 during a training mission patrol in Plan-de-Dieu, an area over which she trains almost daily," said Capt. Frederic Solano , Sirpa Air.

According to him, one of the pilots of the Patrouille de France "was forced to eject and was recovered, slightly injured. He is a man whose identity was not disclosed, the leader of the Patrouille de France is a woman pilot, Captain Virginie Guyot.

"The pilot who ejected was supported by emergency services at the air base of Orange, "he said Solano commander, stating that" there is not at risk of midair collision. "
