Some are known (see for instance Richard Frank's Guadalcanal) but a lot of them are indeed new to me. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the post. My father-in-law was an original crew member of the USN hospital ship Repose. One of those pictures made me wonder if it was him.:salute:

When you go talk to Smith about leaving his feet in his bunk, make sure you mention his pink pants too. It seems like every time we try to have matching clothes, someone messes it up. BROWN PANTS!! How hard is that?
 
Thanks Gary for posting those photos . The enlargement and clarity were outstanding . #93 of the B29 reminds me of my Dad (3rd Mar Div) telling how they had to dive over the sand mounds on Iwo bordering the airstrip when the crippled 29's would come in and the P-51's would ground loop trying to land .
