Has anyone been successful in converting this plane? http://www.plane-design.com/lancaster.html

If so, can it be done with the normal conversion tools or does it require a lot of Scasm work?

I'm asking because I cannot use the conversion tools on my computer, so if it can be done somewhat easy, I can take the necessary files to another computer.

Thanks

I'd love to find out from someone whether the models are multi-lod. If they are, I'd be VERY interested.

Don't worry SC they don't work like ours do.:jump:

Can you imaging having a plane with that sort of poly count in cfs2, the sim would have a melt down.

So True...

"...Can you imaging having a plane with that sort of poly count in cfs2, the sim would have a melt down...."

I read thru some of the commentary in that thread... He's running an x64 comp with 4 gig of memory and Most of those files are humongous....

Talk about making your comp grunt !

Beautiful stuff nonetheless... makes me think it would be a shame to shoot that Lanc out of the sky, huh ?

For Lancaster buffs and RAF fans in general, go to your local library and get Len Deighton's "Bomber." It's a great read and while fictional, gives one some insight into Bomber Command's operations as well as the German Nachtjaeger.

My RAF Raid on Stettin, while a bit complex to set up, has you flying a Lancaster in sync with actual aircrew commands recorded from a Lancaster raid on Stettin. You can get it here:
