Islander Repaints

It`s not really that hard to add the alpha layer to a repaint.
Here is what i tend to do: First, Export the existing alpha from one of the repaints allready in the package. (using dxtbmp) Then... Import it to your repaint bmp file. All you then have to do is to convert the bmp to dds. (I use imagetool for that)

Voila! a nice shiny plane. :)
Exactly. Works a charm.

Thansk for the Rockhopper gajit. And also for removing the individually painted (or masked) rivet heads. :salute:

:ernae:

Since the rest of the Islander threads are closed; Love the bird (except for the lack of military versions/repaints and the redicilous license warning at start-up) :salute:
Hope people will make some British and Belgium military repaints, and other that i dont know of :wiggle:

Fun flying the bird!

Thanks Andy - almost completed the port side of this one - an hour more and it should be ready.

Headcorn is just down the road from me.

Just a pity I will have to wait to get this model, as one of our cats just cost us £500 at the vets.

nice a parachute bird! *Picks up RAM Canopy* "Ok i'm good to go!". combines 2 of my loves this... STOL Aircraft and Parachuting, and a darned good job of it too Gajit...

Like others have said the original was/is pretty battered and worn. I would be tempted to give it maybe a little bit of shine (i.e. not totally flat) but nowhere near the shine you would see on a regular aircraft.

Just to say that we should have a fix for this issue in the next day or two. Please check the Flight1 BN-2 Support forum at www.simforums.com

Loving the repaints. I will have to show the Headcorn one to a few of the chaps who used to fly her! :)

All the best,

Mungo

You might want to revise the manual to include the undocumented feature of combined operation of throttle, props and mixture...

Which is, in case anyone else is wondering, is by left mouse clicking on the `close`, `feather` or `cut-off` markings on the pedestal. Left click to combine engines, left click again to separate.

There is no mention of this in the manual, on the kneeboard, in any of the literature or on the official support forum.
