Tiger Moth

SOH-CM-2022
I'm still waiting on permission from Phillip M, but is there any interest in having a few different versions of the Tiger Moth?

Skin looks great, sorry for being a bit negative but, the scale of this model looks far too small to me?

John

Agree with Jon, when you look at this pic the pilot sets far down into the cockpit and the fuselage is easily wider than he is. It is proportioned nicely just a little small on the scale.

I agree with the posters above but other than that, a few RAF trainer versions are welcome!! (Even if only as static airfield a/c)

Looks great Major! :salute: I have spoken to Phillip about the Moth recently and a rework is on the cards anyway, which I'm looking forward to very much, it's a great aircraft to potter around in.

The scale issue isn't apparent when flying it, and it does fly very well. The fm and sound files are very good.

Yes, your right in what you say Clive, but it's a killer if you want to take screenshots, just looks odd!
I'll look forward to Phillips update, good stuff!

John

Well in that case you could always crouch down a bit when the photographer comes along! :icon_lol:

Ok Clive on your advice, I got them to take the Majors Tiger Moth up for a second shot!
I think they misunderstood me?:d

BTW Phillip, I'm not making fun of your model, I've had it installed for a while, it's very good, I just want it scaled up a bit if possible?

YES! I'd love more versions!

I find that the top wing is a little too high up above the fuselage, too - again something you see in screenshots but not when it's in use.

I nearly wet myself laughing when i seen that second pic with them low down in the cockpit. :salute:

Still no word from Phillip M on being able to release these, but I see in the meantime that a Brazilian Navy version skin is out, and that there's a revised model in the works so there's hope.

Also, the Tiger Moth is one of those planes that sinks into the airfield when it displays in the background, but the first person model is fine. Perhaps there's a chance for that to get fixed as well.

Yes it was funny but I wonder how he did that?
:isadizzy:

Easy if you have access to the gmax source file - just move the pilot and co-pilot nodes down a tad and re-export. Otherwise you might be able to hack the .m3d to change the node coordinates?

Yes you could do that, but I just hacked the Major's screenie with my paint program, nothing elaborate!:)
