'I Present To You, The "Stratoliner Deluxe"....

it's a nice bike, no question. i like yamaha (actually it's a star bike) stuff. they have the best chrome of all the japanese bikes. but no matter what they tell you, that's a touring bike. hard bags with a fairing that houses tunes? 1851 c.c.? that's a touring bike.

honestly i don't see a need for any true cruiser (say, the v-star, or even a honda shadow) to be any bigger than 1200 cc. it's just not neccessary. you're not going to be pulling stumps or hauling a bass boat with your bike, so there is a limit to how much torque you really need vs. the weight gain, and wheelbase length required to give it to you. but if your going to ride 500+ miles in a day, then you need a touring bike.
in that case, if you have to have a v-twin, then you may want bigger cans like the stratoliner has.
if i wanted a v-twin tourer, i would definitely consider it before many others.

my true love though, will always be the valkyrie interstate. 1500cc v-6:

Shucks, I thought P was on about a Boeing 307 Stratoliner. I was getting excited.
