How funny, I just flew into there for the first time tonight, using a late beta copy. I really like what he did with vegetation. It's some of the best shrubs, grass, and undergrowth I've seen for any scenery yet. This is a fun one, and a little challenging, too.

Just downloaded it and will install shortly. What a nice gesture making this quality of scenery freeware! Thank you!:salute:

Nice little 'dogleg' to up to the 'green' on 2S1.
Least that's the way it looked, coming in at about 90kts this a.m.
Was interesting getting the Kodiak in there on the 'fairway' this morning.
Might have to replace a runway edge light or two...
Glad the Kodiak has a reversible prop. :icon_lol:

Great airport for low and slow. :applause:

A little candy in the candy dish. I like it. FSX doesn't work well on my machine at all. Just one big stuttering slide show.

Nice to be able to try your great scenery :)

Thank you

Edit: Looks like I won't be trying it. My machine about flatlined just reading the recommended settings. The pictures in the manual sure look impressive

This is really really good. My world keeps shrinking--used to be the whole world, then it was PNW, and today I can't get off Vashon Island. Back and forth between 2S1 and the Orchard in Luscombes and J-3's and Super Cubs. Watch out for those power lines.

Thanks so much for this. :jump:

cheers,
steve :wavey:

Hey it looks really nice but it's a FPS killer...

I get about 17 fps in default c172 vc... without the scenery I get 30 locked

With any sort of quality payware VC it's unflyable...

I will mention PNW also has this effect. MY settings are turned down quite low to begin with...

outstanding...tank you for a great addition. Getting between 25 and 35 FPS.....very nice!

What system do you have?

It can be hard to tell if you have a fast/modern system.... You need to uncheck vsync and run unlimited and see what the average is with the scenery enabled and disabled.

A lot of people say "no fps hit or no issues here" yet they all have fast PC's and don't notice anything since they lock at 30 or 40fps

Ditto. (Low 40's for the top end actually)
With heavy, overcast weather today in the Seattle area to boot.

Scenery to Extremely Dense and Autogen to normal, on a two year old system.
Even running traffic.
Then again, I stripped out all of the old recommended tweaks and switched, to the letter, the tweak as prescribed by Mr. Altuve, plus his 3.0 shaders.

I love WA69 Wax Orchards, BTW!:jump:

Marvellous!
Many thanks guys:ernae:

I'm running my system at the "recommended" settings from ORBX. I wondeer why someone would want to run anything other than what is recommended by the developer. I would think the developer would have a very good idea of the FPS issues.

My system is not a top of the line. I have an i5 650, with 8gb ram, and an ATI 5500. All setting on the card are maxed except anti-aliasnig which is set at 75%.

Wonderfull, and even 2 fields included.
This gives me an other area of PNW to explore, normaly I'm around the high mountains.
This deserves a sticky maybe?

R.
