Not a movie per se, but I am in the middle of a boxed set of old WW II documentaris that cover most of WW II. It's called: "Battle Ground - The Ultimate Collection" Most of the episodes were produced by the military in WWII and are all in B & W.

I ordered it from Amazon.com.

Found a cheap copy of Victory at Sea ($7.00) at my local Borders. Great Richard Rogers score, notice how little narration there is to detract from the images. Great discovery Jadg.

My favorite documentary ever, bar none. My favorite episode of Victory at Sea... "Rings around Rabaul."

Another very good WWII documentary is "The World at War."
