• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

This is extremely disturbing to me...

I will not purchase BP products. Voting with my wallet.

Yes, but it wasn't BP's people acting like clowns onboard the Horizon acting like clowns, verbally reprimanding people for making distress calls and not throwing the switch that could've saved all this. BP actually had safety inspectors onboard. I wonder what their reports will say...

This whole thing is a disaster. Unfortunately I think all of us share a responsibility in this. 1.) For voting the clowns in office that relaxed rules allowing this to happen (and no not just this admin, but quite a few preceeding this one as well) 2.) Not taking the alternative energy stuff seriously/downsizing from SUV's and such.. This is just one of those harrowing reminders that we should use less oil. Myself included as both our family vehicles are large V-8's. I just hope BP steps up to the plate, and pays to clean this mess up. They got enough money from us seeing as gas prices never really went back down to the pre-Katrina levels after that in 2008. I guess we will see what happens from here as both their efforts this week to cap the well have failed, and it is continuing to spew oil into the gulf..
