Flying default "Missions" with other Aircraft

Is anyone else into this....flying the FSX missions with other than the defaults?

So far I've been air-racing with a P-38, an A2A Spitfire, and even tried the default DC-3 (not so good), flown into Dutch Harbor in IMC with a Carenedo 172, 182, and the default Piper Cub (that didn't turn out so well). And most recently I've started to do Africa in Lionheart's Kodiak (which went well after I ignored my co-pilot telling me to raise my fixed landing gear....well, went well until I forgot that scenario calls for an engine out).

Is there anyone else out there as sick as me?
 
I have on occasion changed to a much faster aircraft when I can't be bothered actually doing a mission properly. Some of the longer ones are much better when you can smash through them at Mach 2.
