Looking for the best Korean War sim

Well, I have to say, these Fox Four campaigns are just fantastic!!

My only challenge (at least for now) is that the US carrier in Bunker Hill is that awful stock carrier. I know GC did a really nice Essex, that I'd like to swap.

There was a utility out there to swap the planes and ships in campaigns ... I can't find it to save my life. Any help?

many thanks!

There is a swap utility, but the name escapes right now. You can get rid of the stock carrier and then rename your favorite carrier's folder (Collin's Korean War Essex Class are my favorites) with the stock carriers name. CFS 2 will then use it instead of the stock MS effort.

Indeed it's the boats on that CG site (been bookmarked for a while) that I'm trying to swap in ... hmm .... will have to keep hunting. I'm hoping someone remembers the name of that utility.

Say, that's a mighty nice Banshee you got going there .... is that RAZBAM's? Looks sweet .... I looked in my old archives and can only find my FS9 version - I wish I knew what I did with the CFS2 part of that purchase. Lovely shot!

thanks!

You can also fly in different install to able to fly in different Era or you can fly in the same CFS2 Install. Its your choice. You never lose anything with CFS2 but always gain.

I have over Seven install represening differents eras or different WW2 Theaters of Operation myelf.

1.PTO
2.ETO/Western Front
3.Eastern Front
4.MTO
5.WW2 in General
6.Korea
7.SCW
9.World war one.
10. A backup original CFS2 install
11.CFS2 install for testing new things

I have over one thousand planes install all those CFS2 Install in many Hangars spread out in as many CFS2 Install.

You see the possibities are almost endless with this program.

I recommend you get this program that will give YOU this possibility by having over seventeen Hangars per Install. Its call ACman and its in the CFS2 sections /Utilities at http://fly.to/mwgfx

Just remember that you can only install 90 to 100plane per Hangars and that you also need the Original plane per Hangar for it to work properly.:ernae:

ACTUALLY,
No you do not need to keep the original aircraft in all of your installs. I have 1%, ATO, ETO, FDG, MTO, PTO, Modern, Original "virgin" install, & TEST. ONLY my original and PTO have the stock aircraft in them. You have to delete ALL references to the stockers in AIRCRAFT, INFO, CAMPAIGNS, MISSIONS, & mdlnames. In other words, delete the original CFS2 campaigns and missions. You have to put Lawdog's or Obio's or somebody else's sound files in ALL aircraft and do not allow any to alias to the stockers. (You do this by searching the aircraft file for SOUND.CFG) Any that have a 1kb sound.cfg are alias files. Replace them with the full meal deal. That is it. Now you have more room for theater specific aircraft without stockers taking up room in your max per install.

Hello,

Sorry - didn't want this question to get lost - anyone know of the name/location of the plane/ship swap utility for CFS2?

thanks,

Rhumbafloppy terrain - an option?

Hello all,

Almost finished the Ocean Fury campaign - what fun!

Am intending to try the Bunker Hill. Planning to sub out the stock F9F for the now-freeware Banshee from Razbam ... wondering about terrain mods.

I recall downloading something like two dozen terrain files done by Rhumbafloppy to enhance of the ETO campaigns (which I sadly still have not had time to fly). So am wondering if any of those files could be used to enhance my Bunker Hill campaign? If so, which ones, and is there a good install guide out there?

thanks,

dl
