I can't remember......................................

I came across this picture or an Avia B.158 and wanted to download it....

But...............maybe hasn't been done.................can you believe it....

and war plane that hasn't been done...........hmmmmmmmmm...I doubt it

somewhere there is a Avia B.158...........or is it a hoax

if you find it .........please post it's where abouts

I like the gull wing and engine intakes............

Here is a interesting shot

Here is a interesting shot ................with the door open.........

Nice lines on the back of the aircraft...........almost looks like a Chocktaw......

door open........................

And we all know the uniform gentlemen...........hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I think they are making a deal......................what will it take for me to get you to drive it off the lot today................

I don't know messerschmitt is offering no down on 6 months same as cash

Scale Model......

Here is some pics of the only model kit.............rare

This is a cool looking aircraft..................but

it range was only 100km........or 62 miles...............hmmmmmmmmmm????

with a 1000kg bomb load??

That can't be right?

Inline engines and poor performance

Obviously, now...................is that the poor performance of the in line engines were the problem with this aircraft...............

Hispano-Suiza HS 12 Ydrs inline liquid cooled

I have been looking a twin engine medium bomber or bomber trainers when I found this Avia B-158

I similiarly like the Fairchild AT-21 ..................which has the inline Ranger engine...............it looks cool............but is a dog for performance

I also came across the Boeing XAT-15............which I hadn't seen before and the Beechcraft Bomber trainer

I sink the avia-B158 is more similar to PZL P-37

I wish is was..............

Ah......someone responded.............

I thought the same thing............................but I feel the avia is different and looks ....................hmmmmmm..............more interesting...

because.........

1. The Gull wing design

2. The Inline engines...........be it they are slow and heavy (poor power to weight)........intakes make it distinguished

3. The Nose and cockpit/gunner is slightly more unique than the norm for medium bombers..............curvy and more odd.....of design and build......

4. The Landing gear has doors and looks .........a little better made

Maybe so ugly it is unique

I think it could be considered a trainer for the Heinkel 111 with its nose and the rear gunner like a JU 88 and pilot...........looks like the Avia B-158 never made it into the ranks.........obscure aircraft dont you think???

Yeah, in the diagram is more clear the diferents in wings! the engine is
obvious, but excep this, theaspect are quite similar!.
serious very interesting to compare this:
Specifications (PZL P.37B):powerplant: two 680 kW PZL Pegasus XX enginescrew: 4wingspan: 17.93 mlength: 12.92 mheight: 4.25 mweight: empty 4935 kg, max loaded 8880 kgmax speed: 412 km/h at 2800 mservice ceiling: 5900 mrange: max. 1750 kmarmament: three 7.92 mm either Vickers F or PWU wz.37 machine guns and up to 2595 kg of bombs

B.158 was a light bomber and a nice performer for its time. It was faster than Do17 and He111. By the way, B.158 range was 1,100 km. PZL 37 was probably the best all round 1939 bomber with a very useful load and range. It's a pity the Poles can not use them adequately.

The range is a typo. The real one is 1,100 km.

If you can find more...........post it

Very little on the internet about the Avia B-158..................

So if you find more.........post it............

Unfortunately...........or fortunately..............someone maybe looking to do one and sell it..................

The range of 100km seem very poor so 1000km makes more sense.......

Politics........and Governments of power ...........at the time.......swirled around and left this aircraft in the attic of history................

Inline engines in bombers ...................didn't seem to survive the 1930's or early 1940's

No argument on the better functional aircraft...............just from asthetic view............not functional..........I like the Avia B-158 for a simulation run and sit in cockpit thing............

oh.......the gull wing and two inline engines give a double stuka Ju87 look

PZL P.38 "Wilk"........

Now...............the PZL P.38 "Wilk".............is interesting and approaching the Avia...........

Also what is this twin engine missing props
