Great job on Grumman's proto F6F!

Not sure about the color of the rudder...I don't seem to have any color photos of this particular bird. I suspect it might have been red?

the rudder in these shots look like it is been left as doped linen.

yep, I didn't see it there either.

I like your North Atlantic "what if" theme. The only thing I would change is to remove any hint of sheen or gloss to the paint as most of the paint schemes used matt or flat paint finishes.
