Ok now the Just Flight Battle of Battle of Britain - 70th Anniversary is released.

My that scenery does look very good. Could you post a link Jan? I'll be adding that to my FS world for sure. I installed Rex recently and am stunned at the results.:engel016:

Just downloaded and had a look at the paint kit for the Hurri - its a shame but its not userfriendly from what i can see. No layered files like other kits.

They are layered files with the stains and detail on a separate layer and the flat, base colours on the others. We have not included pre-painted camouflage schemes as that is not really the point of a paintkit.

Just adding codes is simple and can be done using existing tiles surely.

If people want pre-done camouflage, I guess we can add another layer and publish in a patch at some time but we might as well supply a complete paintjob less the codes. I suppose that is an option.

Here you go, Baz : http://earthsimulations.com/

It's the Isles of Scilly scenery, Alderney is luvery too.

These guys should do the White Cliffs, not only of Dover but all along the British south coast and across the Channel too. :)

Thanks again, Baz ! :salute:

cheers,
jan

Thanks Jan, I'll get to it and download I think. It really does look great.

I will take another look - perhaps the download did not work but I could not open anything with Photoshop.

Im confused as none of the files are psds - they are all bmps which wont open on my pc.

Repaint package is wrong for Hurricane.

I have downloaded the spitfire pack and that is all ok

I'll take a look but there should be a folder of PSDs and a folder of dds files. There are no bmps.

Meanwhile I have found the spit repaint pack to be very good - my first one is almost finished..

Congrats on the Triumphirat, Barry!

The mods are on vacation, it seems.
There are stickies that didn't have a response for about two weeks and this one is not sticky?

Hi Mathis

When are we going to have your BF110 to fly against? :salute:

The Hurricane is a beauty. My Spitfire & 109 needs are already satisfied, but for me this was a sale from the day it was announced. The way to keep the rivet counters at bay is to do your homework and produce something that just looks right - and this does, it screams 'Hurricane!' from every angle.

If I was going to make some suggestions for improvements - well, someone else has mentioned that the handling is a bit tame. Also, the VC textures seem too clean and pale against the splendidly weathered exteriors. This is all small beer really, and I'm having a ball with this terrific model.

Edit: Gajit, are you tryin to make me unfaithful? My heart is already promised to another Spitfire!

Hi Spaceweevil Which One?

If you get a chance could you do some screens of the 109 as I just cant tell from the product shots if its as good as the Hurricane.

Thanks if you can.

Cheers GJ

Sorry, I only bought the Hurricane so far. I WAS going to wait for A2A to Accusim my old favourite Spitfire, the 'fugee from FS9, but I'm not so sure now I've seen that shot of yours. Incidentally, do you see this at all when you switch views? It can take a few seconds for the textures to paint - only happens with this Hurricane and the old RealAir Spitfire.

Yes Oldendirt - I know.

I have started on a 109 but the paint kit does not include the spinner. Im not sure if i can be bothered to spend ages on it to try to get the circles in the right place and then create the missing features.

Unfortunately I can only look on at the screenshots whilst I wait for my disks too arrive, but I have found some free ware add-ons over at Earth Simulations site to fly those aircraft over. They have the lighthouse at the Needles, Isle if Wight and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Stonehenge.
The site is also hosting other freeware developer’s work, like TonyM’s excellent airports.
