Single-engine touring plane?

Milton Shupe's FSX-ed Spartan Executive. Believe me, it's all the single-engined tourer you will ever want. A flight simulator classic from the undercarriage up.

Eaglesoft's Columbia 400 Turbo

Oh man, I forgot the Columbia...but the Cirrus SR22G2 turbo is just as fast, and for whatever reason, I like the Cirrus a bit better for overall viability from the cockpit. But you are right, the Columbia is also a real 'animal' for fast cross country touring as well.

Both will cruise at easily right around 205 kts TAS at 15,000-20,000 ft. and above. (both ceilings are approx. 24,000)

FSD Commander 115tc

I have FSD's Commander 115tc. I considered returning it after purchasing it in December... but it grows on you. There are few little things wrong with it, but there is a lot right with it too including pretty good speed, good looks, glass gauges, nice gps.

I get really good frame rates on it, better than the sf260 which I have and and also like. Finally, it seems to me that the flight dynamics are probably very good. I say probably because I am not a real world pilot, but I have flown in a lot of GA aircraft and the commander seems right. Anyway, you may want to consider it.

oh yeah, good price.... $18.00

Just realized I left out the other real hot rod of a single engine touring aircraft in my hanger.

Lionheart's Epic LT (270kts +)

FAC

Lionhearts Victory

I guess that technically Lionheart's VLJ Victory is a single engine tourer... and it is really fast and fun too!

yes. its an awesome plane, but the dynasty is faster :)... it'll keep up with a 737 no problem ( Max cruise 340 knots ).. :;chuckles:; wouldnt that piss boeing off?? ::LOL:::

How fast is the Glasair and is it FSX SP2/DX10?

It was updated last year to full FsX native; the cruise speed is listed as 242 kts (KIAS) and the overspeed limit is 300 kts KIAS which it will break at low altitude! 300 hp is more than enough power for such a light and small airframe.

:d

EDIT: The only place to get the FsX update was the Aussim website (www.aussim.com.au) but it appears to be down!

The one you can buy from Simmarket is only FsX compatible, not native!
