I found the score after the rebuild of my new pc. It was a gateway but no more. After the rebuild the fellow that did the rebuild scored it and this is the results. The base score was a 3.2 which was the lowest score that was received. This is the results broken down.Processer 4.7, Memory Ram 4.8, Overall graphics 3.2, Gamming graphics 4.5, Primary hard drive 5.7. He didn`t have time to D/L the latest graphics drivers for the computer so that is still to come.My OS is Vista 32 bit with an ATI Radeon 4350 Graphics card, 280 gig hard drive, 2 gigs ram, an Intel 2140 @ 1.60GHz, 650wat power unit with severial large fans. I can see the insterment panal of the F4F-4 real clear compared to what i was running.I would like your opinion on what I have and how to improve it later.

NICE RIG Bob!

The limiting factor here is the: Intel 2140 @ 1.60GHz CPU ... It's on the slow-side.

Maybe yer buddy could re-chip with something faster (2.4 to 3.0GHz)
This would speed the whole box up. (aprx. $100??)

Outside of that; maybe another Gig of RAM. (aprx. $50 - Windows is very RAM hungry & runs faster the more you give it)

With a 650 Watt power supply you're able to add another internal HD too.

For now just sit back and enjoy yer new box & the fantastic video detail it now gives you.

CFS2 has NEVER looked so good eh?.. View attachment 12559

I have been playing with the new one and the graphics are so much better than before. The trees in the stock CFS2 scenery looks great and I am pulling down between 38 and 78 frames a sec. accept when I run into a real dark cloud and then it drops to about 14 frames a sec. I sure wish it would maintain the higher frame rates with thoes real dark clouds.I sure wish thoes clouds didn`t mess up like that.As soon as I can I will get some pics to show everyone the difference.I have to get a router first.

Video Diagnosis 101 - run "dxdiag"

I sure wish it would maintain the higher frame rates with those real dark clouds. I sure wish those clouds didn't mess up like that.

Clouds will always kill your framerates. Not much you can do except thin them, or yank them out completely.

One thing that will help here is to check your video output using a diagnostic tool that's built into Windows XP & VISTA (dunno about Win7) It's very easy to use. Run the tool & post some screenshots of the data.

As soon as I can I will get some pics to show everyone the difference. I have to get a router first.

If the new box is not connected to the internet then maybe transfer them to the on-line box using a 3 1/2 floppy disk, thumb-drive or even burn them to CD.

To check your video output I made some pics. Real easy stuff Bro.

Look in the "notes" section at the lower box on each screen. This will tell you if there are any problems.

I checked and it said no problems found. Another problem I am having is that I can`t open any bitmaps not even in the DXTbmp program.I really need this program to do scenery along with fssc and a good paint program. I can`t even work with any of the aircraft textures.Any ideas on this. The only thing that I have been able to install that really worked was CFOweather. One thing and I agree with you I need to change to a 3.0GHz CPU.I think that would be a great help.My frame rates with a 6nm visability and light clouds and about 30 to 40 planes going at it runs between 77 down to about 28 unless I hit one of thoes dark clouds and it drops to 14 FPS.If I could get it up to 20FPS with the dark clouds and some action I would be home free. The reason I can`t post any pics from the new pc is that I need a router as well inorder to trans from my old pc to the new one.I should have one with in the next week or so.Thanks for all your help, I need all I can get.The next step is to try to get some pics posted using a CD.Learning about a new ops systum is a real pain, so don`t go away.

I do have them installed. I cutoff the UAC and my firewall and that seemed to help some. I don`t have the pc onlineas of yet I am using my old pc fpr that.
