250 lbs --
The GBU-39 has a circular error probable (CEP) of only 5-8 meters,[5] which means it has a 50% probability of hitting within 5-8 meters its intended target
that doesn't sound very accurate to me. that's a 50% chance of being within 25'
saw the f22 display at RIAT yesterday, part from being LOUD i can see why people like it ... its still butt ugly though![]()
The accuracy is on par with the typical 500 pound JDAM. Twenty-five feet is pretty accurate for a bomb.
The main two things the SDB brings to the plate is lower yeild so it can be used in urban areas with less collateral damage effects, plus the wings allow it to glide for a very long distance, which is still classified, but safe to say a hell of a lot further than a JDAM or LGB used today.
