is there a way to resupply a plane during a mission?i often run outa ammo and its a bugger.also how do you get wingmen to perform better.half the time mine cant be arsed to do as they are told, the f:censored:r's.

you can rearm your aircraft by hitting "alt" which brings up the top menu, then select "aircraft", then "change aircraft" but don't change anything, just select what is already there. It will give you full new ammo (and fuel I think) but it won't repair any damage you have taken.

As for the wingmen, only hope seems to be to lock on to the target you want and hit "shift 7" a couple of times. Then they might mill about the target saying all sorts of cool stuff but usually hitting nothing by my experience. You are on your own as far as I can see although they are good to have around to draw fire. They also like to crash into you when you are on short final. The stock cfs2 aircraft seem to be a lot smarter AI than any addons. Nothing like IL2 where the AI's are a lot smarter than I am. Maybe somebody else out there knows the secret.

Press first the Shift keyboard dial and the the keyboard Dial T at the same time. The tacticle display will show up. Now press T until you see the ground objects come up on the tacticle display. Tab on the ground object you want them to attack and command to your Wingman or squadron to attack it and they will attack it.

It just takes time. Just like in the real war they will fly around until they have the right angle to attack. The Ai is better than most people realize.:wavey:

You can try the same method against AC in Dogfights and other Types of Missions. Just be patient since this planes are prop planes and not Jets.

...Just be patient since this planes are prop planes and not Jets.

Jet action can be worse most times, especially in A2A engagements. The rookie and veteran pilots tend to wander further from the area and respond slower to help and rejoin commands. I guess that's to be expected somewhat since this sim's engine was primarily written for slower, tighter turning prop fighters.

The best remedy is learning to hand edit your mission files to upgrade the skill and aggressiveness your flight (or your escorting flight if flying as a bomber pilot). High aggression can overcome a lot of weak AI programming. I've seen rookies react with such passion that they collide with one another or fly into the ground going after a target. Skill contributes to accuracy...the higher the skill the more successful your missions will be when dependent upon AI to do their parts. So adjusting all to Ace skill="3" and High Aggression="2" will always get the best possible performance for a scenario. The programming also tends to favor section leaders with a little extra for getting results on command. Numbers 3, 5 and 7 in your 8-man flight tend respond quicker and average better performance than the others over a long campaign.
