I'm knew to FSX. A week ago today I got FSX Gold Edition. Then added REX2 very nice add-on.
Anyway where can I find an US army/air force painted Piper_J3Cub? Thanks in advance.

I was flying in Anchorage, Alaska today and took some pictures.

Sphinx_58, Thy are nice planes. Thank you.

O-1Driver has just gotten a L-4 Army (real plane) that he is working on RL stuff. I was looking to make a video of the cub in FSX for him.
As far as WWII thou Korean wars the CFS3 Expansions have all the planes that a person can handle. very nice planes.
Thank you for your reply!

The A2A Simulations J-3 is one of the great airplanes for FSX. It's a two-part purchase - there's the plane itself, and then the Accu-sim module, which adds better flight dynamics, a realistic engine, and the passenger, who's interesting, to say the least.

There are several US Army repaints available - not true L-4's but repaints of the J-3. You can find many on this thread in the A2A forums. Recently posted were these repaints and also these. Also check here.

Before you buy, read the A2A forum commentary and make sure your system can run it. It's a complex model and it's pretty demanding on the system - but really worth it if you can get it going. The videos at A2A will give you a pretty good impression of what it's about.

Hope this helps.

Often pictures say more than words. The Flight Replica L4 Grashopper over freeware ORBX Tasmania.

The screen shots are nice. I presume current weather was not selected. There has been precious little sunshine here for a couple weeks: I have only been able to fly (real airplanes) twice in the last two weeks.

I don't know about the military version, but I like the A2A cub.
