FSx Essex AI Carrier CV-10 WWII 1944, who want's it ?

Getting really excited now... might have to create some targets..er....scenery for this carrier and the upcoming Panthers!!:jump::jump:

It will be good - I have no doubt whatsoever, given who all is working on it. Will happily wait.

many thanks!!!

dl

Yes it will be accel ready, cat and trap.

Just to remind you, its not a full blown rinky dink baked texture model, it is almost the full model detail wise but the textures are basic swatches, people wont be able to repaint or weather, there just authentic carriers of the period for people to play with until I finally finish them.

I think and hope they will suit those that prefer freeware, call them a 'lite' copy of the full product, possibly even trialware ?.

I am running up against the compiler buffer with textured parts on these ships, they are very poly heavy and even just low tech swatches is breaking the limit, full blown 2048 or 4096 will cause the compiler to have seizures LOL, so I really need to re configure the mesh and optomize it, certainly most of the gallery decks will need drastic overhauling and I need to rethink some build techniques, in short the final rendition will need a rebuild (this'll be the third time) to extract the most from the compiler and give the best visual bang you can.

I hope they are taken as intended and not something they were never intended to be.

Cracked the texture compiler error (correctly) on both models, CV-32 was terrible, only managed half a model in the sim as opposed to CV-10 which was 95%, can now add back all the missing bits :), please stand by a few days, night shift tonight, hospital tomorrow then two weeks off. I want these wrapped up soon so I can get back to the contractual work :).

Best

Done, WWII CV-10 Yorktown and Korean CV-32 Leyte, files being sent now so when ever Crashaz gets a chance they will become available here, as usual I have to rush out to the other side of the country now !.

There may be the odd tweak here and there but I can't see them right now, all parts are now included thanks to the texture compiler issue being solved, actually thanks to something Lionheart posted on a totally different forum and thread months ago :).

Oh, forgot to add, those yellow squares on the deck, they wont be there, I cant find conclusive photos of JBDs in Korea so I've left them off, either gated or ramped.

Soon enough... I have sent final files and notes to Michael for approval. Found some minor issues that I have to clear with him.

It would be damm interesting to have this in concert with Bruce Fitzgerald,s CV-6 simply because many time s i was the CAG as we had assortment of carrier types .. lotta fun directing from the bridge .

Michael . could this have the bridge operating the same or it AI only ? .. not sure anyone asked but with this detail , comm's via TS (teakspeak) .. two Carrier captains ! ooooooh BOY now that could become dangerous FUN :wiggle: ....< that s me wings wobbling as i come in on a moving deck ! <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Ian,

I have a fully set up player driveable one with associated camera views, fantail, shooter, bridge, prifly, vultures row etc etc. Wouldn't take much to get it cleaned up TBH, I cant take credit for making it driveable, I just grabbed someone else's driveable carrier and edited to suit my boat and sadly dont recollect the orignal author.

I didn't think there'd be much interest in a driveable one ?, but if you think there is I can send one up to the library today so as to not overload Crashaz. CV-10 would be best as thats the prettiest LOL.

Best

Michael
