UKMIL T-38 now available to non club members

I was thinking about merging it with Piglet's F-5A model, but don't know how. What's needed to merge one aircraft with anothers VC?

I am afraid adopting another VC model it is not always that simple. You will need:

1. A native FSX interior MDL file (called X_interior in the example below)
2. The texturing supporting it if applicable
3. The gauges supporting it if applicable
4. An addition to the model.cfg file like:

[models]
normal=t38
interior=X_interior

5. Adjust the aircraft.cfg [Views] section eyepoint coordinates

If I am not mistaken, Tim's F-5 wasn't FSX native and does not have this separate interior MDL file. You could try FlyLogic's F-5E Fly the Tiger X, that one is native FSX for sure and has the interior mdl file.

If there Is enough call I nay complete theVC. It is about 40% done as it stands. For anyone having existing login problems with ukmil simply re register as your original account has probbeen deleted

Here's a 'second' for a VC.

In the meantime, I was able to merge Piglet's F-5 VC into it. Copied the F-5A_interior.mdl file and added it to the model.cfg section. Copied all the texture files into the T-38's texture folders. Added/replaced the VC section from Piglet's panel.cfg file into the T-38 panel.cfg file. Changed the eyepoint to; eyepoint=9.600000,0.000000,2.40000.

Funny to see wing tanks when looking over your shoulder, but it's nice to fly from the VC.

If the question was, all those in favor of a completed VC? Then let me raise both hands...also nice job on the exterior model. Thank you.

I'm OK with 2D panels on airliners and big hulking beasts, but fast jets and anything smaller than a 737 for me then VC is a must (I use TIR you see). So count me in as a yes vote. :)
