F8F wip shots

Brilliant work - Deano et al. The video really shows off all the work you, your mod team, and all the contributors have put in. Outstanding - looking forward to it.

cheers,

I'll poke dean about the defogger, it was relatively high-res when I turned it in, however may have been downsized due to performance.

No need to poke for I'm sure he and everyone else lurk here ;) For the record, it's not been downsized at all. However it has been sorted out recently.

New promos will hopefully be available tomorrow, or so I am told!

Dan.

skyhawka4m, the picture is the sister ship of the Leyte, CV-32 and was taken after the fleet modernization in 1950 of the USS Kearsarge. CV-33. It shows a tow tug that only existed after 1953 with an Officer driving it. So it was a very special occasion since the last Bearcat flew for the Navy on 4/17/56 in San Diego
It's hard for me to believe that out of the thousands of airdales there are, I'm the only one interested in Flight Simulators. Somebody must know somebody that served on the Kearsarge at that time.

STOP STOP STOP!! :jump::jump:

The images just keep getting better. I have never had any real interest in the F8F - its kinda escaped my radar - Im going to enjoy learning more about the amazing aircraft.

I agree with Jankees. I wish there was an animation that makes a blur out of the prop hub (I've seen the video too with the prop in motion). However the paints do look very nice.

its such a beautiful, compact looking fighter plane

the model looks ready for purchase to me fellers

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dean and the Vertigo boys for keeping this thread going with their updates and information...
