Ghost in the Shell Series 2; Finished...

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
If any of you are into true Science Fiction and versions of the future that are wild and well thought out, you might check out the Ghost in the Shell series. Now this is a series, lasting two seasons, not the movies. If I am correct, there are 2 movies, but do not quote me on that. There is one for sure though that started it all.

To get a better idea of all of it, you will need to Google it; Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. That is the 'exact' name of the series.

I just finished watching all of them, usually once a night. Tonight was the last two. Man... Well written..... I am left with an empty feeling as there are no more to watch. I'll have to deal with this I guess.

I located my series thru iTunes who carry them all including the movie, which I had seen years ago and do not remember much of. But the series I started watching about a month ago, purchasing one a night, if that.

Imagine a world where you have a link in your mind to the internet, and the internet is far far far more elaborate and evolved then it is today. And then imagine that body parts and bodies for that matter can be 'created' (mechanicals and bionics) but look very real, with a human brain in the head module. Some people are full prosthetic (brain only, rest is like an android). Now you will begin to get a picture of the world that these writers portray.

If you thirst for good SciFi, if you really enjoy good 'futurism' stories, if you like Japanese animae, then you may wish to check this out.

GitS: Stand Alone Complex used to air late at night around here a few years ago, and I always made it a point to watch. The writing was excellent, and I remember being very interested to find out what was next in the saga of the Laughing Man. The channel only showed a couple of episodes of 2nd GIG before they changed their scheduling around, so I was never able to find out what happened to Section 9.

Thanks for the heads-up on being able to get them through iTunes.

Speaking of futuristic anime, have you ever taken a look at Cowboy Bebop?
